The Power of Micro-Interactions in UI Design
Micro-interactions are the tiny animations that happen when a user interacts with a website. A button slightly pressing down, a heart icon bursting when clicked, or a menu smoothly sliding open.
Why Do They Matter?
They provide immediate visual feedback. When a user clicks 'Submit', and a small loading spinner appears inside the button, it tells the user 'I am working on it.' Without it, the user might click 5 more times in frustration.
Delight is a Competitive Advantage
The difference between an app you 'use' and an app you 'love' is delight. Fluid, satisfying micro-interactions make software feel human and responsive.
Conclusion
Never let an interaction go unacknowledged. Use subtle CSS transitions to bring life to every hover, click, and swipe.
