The Golden Rule of Call to Actions (CTAs)

A beautiful landing page is useless if no one clicks the 'Buy Now' button. Designing effective CTAs is the difference between a pretty website and a profitable one.

One Page, One Goal

The biggest mistake is offering too many choices. 'Buy Now', 'Learn More', 'Subscribe to Newsletter', 'Follow on Twitter'. The user gets overwhelmed and clicks nothing. A landing page should have ONE primary CTA.

Contrast is King

Your primary CTA button must be the most visually striking element on the screen. If your website is mostly blue and white, your CTA button should be a vibrant, contrasting orange. It should draw the eye instantly.

Conclusion

Make the button large, make the color pop, and use action-oriented text ('Start Your Free Trial' instead of just 'Submit').
